Since 1999, Mr. Martin S. Sands has served as Co-Chairman and Senior Portfolio Manager at Sands Brothers Asset Management. The firm is the result of nearly a decade of success for Sands Brothers and Co, a company founded in 1990 by Martin Sands and his brother, Steven Sands. Sands Brothers Asset Management is a leader in providing investment and advisory services to clientele with a high net worth. Sands Brothers is registered by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission as an investment advisor.Pursing a variety of business ventures within the past decade, Martin Sands has been instrumental in introducing new opportunities for Sands Brothers and their clientele. Martin Sands founded and launched the Select Access Funds, a family of fund of hedge funds in 2001. While managing the Select Access Funds, Martin Sands became involved in the real estate business, acquiring, renovating, and selling nearly 500,000 square feet of Class A commercial office space.
Beginning his career in 1983, Martin Sands has lent his extensive skills to various companies over the past 25 years, including positions with Shearson American Express Inc, Oppenheimer and Co, and Laidlaw, Adams, and Peck.
Martin S. Sands earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Union College, where he developed a passion for lacrosse, a sport he enjoys to this day. When he is not working, Martin Sands enjoys traveling, reading and music.
Today, Martin Sands makes his home in Greenwich, Connecticut.
